Frequently asked questions
What if names are spelled differently in the two files?
They are still matched. Name matching ignores case, dots, spacing and word order, so 'R.K. Sharma' finds 'R K SHARMA' and 'Kumar Ravi' finds 'Ravi Kumar'. Exact names are paired first, so a similar name can't take someone else's row, and each name match shows how close it was.
How to compare ESIC contribution with salary sheet?
Upload the salary sheet (or labour sheet, attendance sheet) and the ESIC monthly contribution report, Excel or PDF. Choose the insurance (IP) number as the match key and compare days paid, total monthly wages and the employee contribution. Every worker comes out as matched, mismatched, missing from the ESIC report, or present only in the report.
How to check ESIC contribution for all employees?
Compare the month's ESIC contribution report against your salary sheet. Workers on the salary sheet who are missing from the report are listed as "Not in ESIC", and every difference in days, wages or contribution is shown side by side, instead of checking each IP number on the portal.
My ESIC report is a scanned PDF. Will that work?
Yes. Scanned pages are straightened and read with OCR. You check the extracted table on the Review screen and can correct it before the comparison runs.
Can I compare workers by name if IP numbers are missing on the salary sheet?
Yes. Match on the name columns and set how close a match must be. Exact name matches are paired first, so a similar-looking name can't take another worker's row.
